Summary

Two strangers, a child, and a split second choice that will change everything 。 。 。

Ellen was just trying to help a stranger。 That was how it started: giving a few minutes respite to a flustered young mother sitting opposite her on the train。 A few minutes holding her baby while the mother makes an urgent call。 The weight of the child in her arms making Ellen's heart ache for what she can never have。

Five minutes pass。
Ten。

The train pulls into a station and Ellen is stunned to see the mother hurrying away down the platform, without looking back。 Leaving her baby behind。 Ellen is about to raise the alarm when she discovers a note in the baby's bag, three desperate lines scrawled hastily on a piece of paper:

Please protect Mia
Don't trust the police
Don't trust anyone

Why would a mother abandon her child to a stranger? Ellen is about to discover that the baby in her arms might hold the key to an unspeakable crime。 And doing the right thing might just cost her everything 。 。 。

This book for me started off really good and I was very intrigued to find out the mystery of the baby。 However, the more you get into the story the more disappointed I became。 The story did not unfold how I expected it to, and for me I found the story very underwhelming and very far-fetched。 I did enjoy reading the book, but feel the story could have been so much better。

Imagine you meet a stranger on a train。 They have their hands full so ask you to hold their baby – just for a minute。 They step away to take a phone call。 They get off the train – leaving you and the baby behind。It’s a scenario that seems so likely, so terrifyingly possible, that any one of us could find ourselves at the centre of this story。 It’s that instant relatability that makes Trust Me such a success, in my opinion。Full review here: https://theoverduebookreview。wordpres。。。 Imagine you meet a stranger on a train。 They have their hands full so ask you to hold their baby – just for a minute。 They step away to take a phone call。 They get off the train – leaving you and the baby behind。It’s a scenario that seems so likely, so terrifyingly possible, that any one of us could find ourselves at the centre of this story。 It’s that instant relatability that makes Trust Me such a success, in my opinion。Full review here: https://theoverduebookreview。wordpres。。。 。。。more

At first glance this book was very interesting。 It was an intriguing and heart-wrenching novel that made you curious to read and find out more!A troubled young mother on the train asked you to hold her baby, and she made an emergency call。 However, if she does not come back after 10 minutes, you will start to worry。 However, although holding the child in your arms gives a sense of longing and desire, it feels warm in your arms。 When the train enters the station, you will see the mother leaving t At first glance this book was very interesting。 It was an intriguing and heart-wrenching novel that made you curious to read and find out more!A troubled young mother on the train asked you to hold her baby, and she made an emergency call。 However, if she does not come back after 10 minutes, you will start to worry。 However, although holding the child in your arms gives a sense of longing and desire, it feels warm in your arms。 When the train enters the station, you will see the mother leaving the train along the platform。 Where did she go and why did she leave the baby? You will find a note in the baby’s belongings instructing you not to go to the police, distrusting anyone and asking you to take care of the baby。 Perhaps a suspecting warning? This novel lets you really establish a connection with the character and establish a deep connection。 The storyline is well thought out and very unique, different from what I read every time。 Full of emotion and connection。 The narrator’s perspective and writing style is quite unique and unusual [in a good way]。。 。。。more

The end of every chapter left me wanting to read on!Similarly to The Catch, Tim very cleverly leaves you not knowing who to believe for most of the book。 I found it very difficult to take sides in this, as both stories were so convincing to start with that I really didn’t know who to trust! There are a lot of twists and turns throughout the book, a lot of which I didn’t see coming! However I did predict the big twist at the end a little while before it happened - very pleased with myself for that one!I thought this was a really interesting concept for a story, and not one I’ve seen before (although I obviously haven’t read all the books)。The book is written from a female perspective, and I think T。 M。 Logan writes this beautifully, right down to the tiny details in the facial expressions and movements of Ellen。The only reason I’m docking half a star is because I felt that there were a few character’s whose stories could’ve been explored a little more, to provide a bit more of an explanation of their actions towards the end。I thought this story was totally gripping and jam packed with tension and excitement! I would definitely recommend this one to any thriller fans!Rating: 4。5/5 。。。more

Firstly, the plot draws you in immediately! Really simple, yet complex and daunting plot as theres so much mystery around the choices to make。 I really like how fast-paced this story is, not in a way that feels rush but in the way that gives you a thrill whilst you are reading, the fact that the baby gets left in Elles hands really creates this sense of intrigue surrounding the backstory of the mother and child, but also Elles story and how this will impact her decision。 Although the plot twist Firstly, the plot draws you in immediately! Wow, this book is the true definition of thriller。 Had me enthralled from start to finish, I don’t know how many times I thought I’d figured it out, but they were all wrong。 No spoilers, but what an ending! I would have given more than five stars if I could, would have been thoroughly deserved。 This is my third book by the author and each one has been excellent

Having read a couple of previous books by T。 M。 Logan I couldn’t wait to request it on NetGalley and when I was approved I couldn’t wait to get started。 I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect but I loved it。Trust Me is a fast paced and gripping book, with a well-executed plot that had me swiping through the pages on my Kindle until the very end。 I did work out the ending but I wasn’t disappointed as there were plenty of twists that I didn’t see coming。The book is told through multiple points of v Having read a couple of previous books by T。 M。 Logan I couldn’t wait to request it on NetGalley and when I was approved I couldn’t wait to get started。 I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect but I loved it。Trust Me is a fast paced and gripping book, with a well-executed plot that had me swiping through the pages on my Kindle until the very end。 I did work out the ending but I wasn’t disappointed as there were plenty of twists that I didn’t see coming。The book is told through multiple points of view, the main one being from Ellen the main protagonists。 We don’t know who some of the points of views belong to at first but all is revealed at the end。 I thought this worked very well in adding that little bit of extra suspense and mystery。The characterisation was spot on for me。 The characters felt believable and well developed。 The main protagonists Ellen was definitely my favourite。 You know from the very start that she is a character you know you will like。 I liked Ellen’s character as she came across brave, caring and a character who can be resourceful and quick thinking thanks to her Navy background。This was a truly addictive read and would recommend to anyone who is looking for an action packed, fast paced read。 Trust Me is definitely my favourite book from T。 M。 Logan, and can’t wait to give his other books a go。I would like to thank NetGalley and the publishers Zaffre (Bonnier Books UK) for my eARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased review。 。。。more

Another fantastic thriller from T。M Logan! I've read all of T。M Logan's thrillers。 Although, this one wasn't my favourite, it was still fantastic。 I absolutely loved the concept of this book。 It was really unique and had me gripped from the start because it's a situation any of us could find ourselves in。 The writing was fantastic as always, although I don't think the second half was as strong as the first half。 I could also guess who the perpetrator was from about mid way through the book。 I th Another fantastic thriller from T。M Logan! Am a big fan of TM Logan and I have read all his books。 I truly enjoyed the story but I have guessed the killer straight away。 As a true crime fan when an author keep putting doubt between two characters and it’s fairly obvious that they want you to think this is the culprit but in the end it’s always the bad one pretending to be the good one。 I enjoyed it but the ending was fairly predictable。

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book by TM Logan, Trust Me was an excellent psychological thriller。 The main character, Ellen had wanted a child so desperately that she didn’t notice her marriage falling apart。 Her ex husband is now expecting a child with his new partner。 Then on a train journey on the way back from her fertility appointment she is handed a baby to look after。Whilst at times it is highly improbable, Trust Me was a gripping and engrossing read。 You were never quite sure who was I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book by TM Logan, Trust Me was an excellent psychological thriller。 The main character, Ellen had wanted a child so desperately that she didn’t notice her marriage falling apart。 Her ex husband is now expecting a child with his new partner。 Then on a train journey on the way back from her fertility appointment she is handed a baby to look after。Whilst at times it is highly improbable, Trust Me was a gripping and engrossing read。 You were never quite sure who was the person who wanted the child dead, who is the Ghost。Highly recommended 。。。more

I love reading books by the author and although Trust me was fast paced and intriguing I didn’t think it was his best book 。。。 yes certainly worth reading but about 3/4 of the way through I just knew how it was going to end and I was correct so not the shock that I usually have during the last few pages。 Having said all that I cannot wait to read the next novel in 2022。 Thank you TM Logan !!!

The blurb of this book alone was enough to get me interested in reading it。 Although I feel like it probably has been done before, I personally haven’t read a book like it, where a person is handed a literal baby to look after。 The note aspect is very interesting and I look forward to what this could mean for the main character。Upon reading the first chapter, I feel for the main character as she has been unable to have children and her husband has left her and is now having children with another The blurb of this book alone was enough to get me interested in reading it。 Although I feel like it probably has been done before, I personally haven’t read a book like it, where a person is handed a literal baby to look after。 The note aspect is very interesting and I look forward to what this could mean for the main character。Upon reading the first chapter, I feel for the main character as she has been unable to have children and her husband has left her and is now having children with another, and so she can’t stand to see the sight of babies。 I would like to know what her reaction is going to be when she is handed the child and what she aims to do with the information that she is given from the note。 Will she try to return her to the mother or keep the child as her own? And how can she do this if the note says not to trust the police, would it not be classed as kidnapping? 。。。more

Bloody Brilliant, edge of yr seat, nail-biting suspense。A page turner that kept me guessing till the very end。I can honestly say my heart was pumping a mile a minute at the end, feeling the suspense pouring from the pages, like I was physically there with Ellen, rushing to turn the pages to find out the gripping conclusion to this story。Just mind blowing。

3。5⭐I was fortunate to receive a copy of this ARC from Zaffre publishing and NetGalley。I had high hopes for this book after enjoying The Catch last year and it certainly started as a compelling read! What would you do if someone asked you to hold their baby while they took a call, but then saw them getting off the train?I just found some of the behaviour unbelievable and some of Ellen's decisions made just didn't feel realistic。 However it was still absolutely a page turner! My favourite quote:"L 3。5⭐I was fortunate to receive a copy of this ARC from Zaffre publishing and NetGalley。I had high hopes for this book after enjoying The Catch last year and it certainly started as a compelling read!
